Ashley Cruz is an urban designer with a background in landscape architecture and urban design. Through her professional and academic experience, she has maintained a strong interest in maintaining and improving environmental quality and championing innovative planning and design strategies. Ashley's professional experience emphasizes:

Ashley's recent work at CD+A includes urban design and illustration for the Memorial Park Neighborhood Plan in Santa Monica, integrating a new light rail station with the surrounding community; initial GIS survey analysis for Greening Americas Capital - Olympia, WA; and urban design, illustration, and community workshop planning and facilitation for the Telegraph Avenue Complete Streets project in Oakland.

At Melillo + Bauer Associates, Ashley focused on construction documentation from small to large scale projects including a full 90% CD set for an intricate hotel/casino in Buffalo, NY; residential landscape design and TOD streetscape planning; and graphics focusing on green building and landscape-based stormwater management best practices.
