Ryan Furcini

Urban Designer

Ryan Furcini is an urban designer with a background in landscape architecture and civil engineering. His academic and professional experiences include:

  •  Placemaking and public spaces
  • Streetscape design, complete streets, and active transportation
  • Water resources, green infrastructure, and low impact development
  • Planting and landscape design, low-water and drought tolerant plants  
  • Community outreach and engagement, community meetings
  • Site investigation, inventory, and analysis 
  • 3D computer modeling; graphic rendering; and construction plans, elevations, and details

Ryans work at CD+A includes the development of research documents for the Riverside County Transportation Commission  Long Range Transportation Plan. The work consisted of identifying and summarizing crucial aspects of pedestrian and bicycle policy from each participating citys general plan and bicycle master plan. He has also created illustrative documents for the ongoing Southern Blackstone Avenue Smart Mobility Project in Fresno, CA. 

His previous work experience consists of landscape architecture drafting, design, and project management. He has collaborated in the design of large-scale commercial and public projects, where he drafted construction documents for a variety of businesses, universities, and public parks. While working as freelance designer, he acted as both designer and contractor for several residential projects, integrating water efficient planting schemes with intricate, modern themes.
