Shweta is an urban designer and architect with four years of prior experience in streetscape design, integrated township planning, transit-oriented development, landscape master planning, and high-rise residential architecture. She has worked as a designer in urban design, architecture, and landscape architecture projects across India and the UAE. She has a keen interest in climate change adaptation and resiliency planning with a focus on water urbanism.

Having witnessed the adverse effects of rapid urbanization in Mumbai, the city that she calls home, she was inspired to transition from a career in real estate driven architecture to people centric urban design and planning. She believes that city designers need to give up modernist ideals of grandeur and individualism in order to build livable cities.

In her free time, Shweta enjoys exploring new places, experimenting with different cuisines, photographing urban landscapes, learning new dance styles, playing tennis, or reading fiction.
