Description

CD+A prepared a Green Infrastructure (GI) Plan for the City of Belmont as required of the version 2 Municipal Regional Stormwater NPDES Permit. The GI Plan establishes policies, criteria, and guidance for Belmont to consider and implement as street and development projects are planned, designed, and constructed to meet required water quality targets by 2040.

To address these water quality and other city goals and regulatory requirements, CD+A reviewed and provided language for the city to update planning, engineering, and other city documents to identify and craft new and amended policies, guidance, and other descriptions. Working closely with the city, CD+A assisted with describing how the City will track and measure GI project success, determining the types of funding sources most beneficial and obtainable for additional GI implementation funding, and collecting and summarizing other GI Plan required documentation. Further, CD+A worked with the city to identify, prioritize, and map potential and planned public and private regulated and unregulated development and green street projects to aid the city in implementing more projects, identifying potential projects for partnerships, and mapping and compiling a list of existing, planned, and potential green infrastructure projects in order to meet their required water quality targets.
